Dextrose Monohydrate
Dextrose Monohydrate Powder
Dextrose is the monomer of the starch chain (polymers). Dextrose Monohydrate or D-Glucose Molecular Formula C6H12O6, H2O is a white crystalline powder, odourless and sweet to taste. In its crystalline form, this natural sugar has been used as a sweetening and texturizing agent, or as a fermentation substrate.
Application
· Industrial Applications :
o Adhesives : DMH provides flow control and helps prevent wrapping of the pieces upon drying.
o Resin Formulation : DMH can serve as plasticizer in various resin formulations.
o Gluconic Acid : DMH can serve as feedstock for chemical or microbiological oxidation to gluconic acid.
o Building Materials : DMH can be used in wallboard as a humectants to control water release and to prevent brittle edges during drying, as setting retardants in concrete.
· Food :
o Food Grade: used for controlling sweetness, giving texture, adding thickness, preserving properties etc.
o Bakery Products
o Beverages
o Canned Products
o Confectionaries
o Meat Industry
o Frozen Desserts
